She's had a difficult few months after being fired from the X Factor USA and trying to re-establish her reputation.

So Cheryl Cole can definitely be forgiven for letting her hair down on a rare night out with manager will.i.am.

The 28-year-old singer looked slightly worse for wear in a picture she posted on her Twitter page which showed her clutching a bottle of champagne and holding her finger up in a rude gesture to the camera.

Cheryl expressed her regret over the photograph and her drunken antics by tweeting this morning: '
I just walked past the mirror and caught a glimpse of someone.. I have no idea who she is..'
