Cheerleader Stretcher: An Atlanta Hawks cheerleader fell down hard. An Atlanta Hawks cheerleader fell down hard and needed to be taken off the court on a stretcher during a game against the Dallas Mavericks on Monday night.

The cheerleader, identified by the team as Kristen, according to SI.com, slipped during a routine and hit her head on the hardwood. The game was delayed briefly between the third and fourth quarters.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the team said she was taken to Atlanta Medical Center and released on Monday "following examination by physicians."

“Our best wishes are with the cheerleader who had the incident on the court,” Hawks coach Larry Drew said after their 127-113 loss, per the AJC. “She is doing well, from what I’m told. We are hoping that she is OK and are keeping things in perspective.”

A similar incident happened back in November when an Orlando Magic cheerleader fell and had to be stretchered off the court.
