Men caught with alligator hatchlings
Two Florida men were arrested after police caught them with 260 alligator hatchlings. Robert "Bo" Martin Duval, 32, and Christopher Cork Scroggins, 22, both of Bushnell were arrested by Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officers as they came ashore from Lake Apopka with the load of recently hatched alligators Thursday, Florida Fish and Wildlife reported in a release.
"You have got me, and I have a lot of alligator hatchlings," Duval said as the officers approached the boat.
Officers returned the alligators to the water alive.
The two men were charged with possession/capture of hatchling alligators and conspiracy. Duval was additionally charged with possession of firearms and ammunition by a convicted felon as officers found firearms hidden under some vegetation in the boat.
