+Roger Craig VP TIBCO, Known as the high-stepping former running back for the San Francisco 49ers, Roger Craig has signed a contract to become a business development director and spokesperson for TIBCO Software Inc. (Nasdaq: TIBX) of Palo Alto, Calif., a leading provider of real-time e-business software for the Internet.

Craig, who holds the Super Bowl record for the most points scored with three touchdowns in Super Bowl XIX and who was the first NFL player to rush for 1,000 yards and receive 1,000 yards in the same season, is working as part of TIBCO’s TIBCO.net group. This group provides software and services to leading Internet portal sites, including CBS Sportsline, Yahoo, AOL/Netscape, Reuters, AltaVista and mySAP.com.

NFL MVP to Crown NBA All-Star Slam Dunk Champ
Craig is scheduled to present the winner of the popular NBA.com Slam Dunk competition with the winning $50,000 check from HoopsTV.com. The slam dunk competition, to take place Saturday, February 12th at The Arena in Oakland, Calif., is being held in conjunction with the 49th Annual NBA All-Star Game, scheduled for Sunday, February 13th. This year’s game will be televised on NBC and in 205 countries around the world, in 42 different languages.
About Roger Craig
Roger Craig is best known as the high-stepping running back for the World Champion San Francisco 49ers. He led the NFL in receptions by a running back with 92. As a 49er, Craig went on to win a total of three Super Bowls and play in a record 11 consecutive playoffs — the only player to accomplish this feat. He made the Pro-Bowl five times earning All-Pro honors four times. Craig was the NFL MVP in 1988 as well as the Sports Illustrated Player of the Year. He was also named to the Team of the Decade. In 1998 and 1999 Craig was nominated to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Craig and his wife Vernessia have five children: Damesha, Rometra, Rogdrick, Alexander and Nia-Jai. Vernessia owns an organic grocery store/coffee shop called “Menloville”, located in Menlo, Calif. His oldest daughter, Damesha, 19, is currently a scholarship athlete on the UCLA track team. Daughter Rometra, 17, was rated among the USA Today top 25 female high school basketball players and was selected as the California State Athlete of the Year. The leading scorer for state champion Archbishop Mitty High School in San Jose, Calif., Rometra will attend Duke University this fall.
