Footprints bank robber
Footprints bank robber, Ogden police follow snowy footprints to bank robber. Police say they captured a bank robber Saturday after they followed his snowy footprints right up to the door of an Ogden apartment where he was trying to hide with the loot.
Lt. Troy Burnett said a man entered the Alliance Credit Union, 2780 Adams Ave., about 12:55 p.m. Saturday and handed a teller a note demanding money. Burnett said when the teller complied, the man fled on foot, failing to take into account he was leaving footprints behind in the snow.
Burnett said a witness then followed the man to an apartment complex in the 2600 block of Adams Avenue, and pointed officers to the complex.
From there, officers picked up the man’s trail, literally following his footprints left in the fresh snow, right to the front door of the apartment where he lived, Burnett said.footprints snow bank robbery, Ogden, Utah, footprints bank robber,
He said police not only recovered all the stolen money from the 27-year-old, but he said they were able to get a full confession. The man was arrested on suspicion of first-degree felony robbery.
