Movie inspired man who ‘dogged’ Woods? Man who threw hot dog at Tiger Woods says 'Drive' inspired stunt, wanted to do something 'epic'

Ryan Gosling's "Drive" is getting blamed for everything lately.

Just days after a Michigan woman filed a lawsuit against the film's distributor because it had "very little driving," the man who threw a hot dog at Tiger Woods on Tuesday now says "Drive" inspired his stupid act.

"As soon as the movie ended, I thought to myself, 'I have to do something courageous and epic. I have to throw a hot dog on the green in front of Tiger,'" Brandon Kelly, 31, told the Santa Rosa Press Democrat.

Even though Kelly says he's actually a fan of Woods, the stunt made the pro golfer miss an 18-foot putt.

"I was kind of focusing on my putt when he started yelling," Woods said after the Frys.com Open in Santa Clara, Calif. "Next thing I know, he laid on the ground, and looked like he wanted to be arrested because he ... put his hands behind his back and turned his head." Tiger Woods dog, Frys.com Open in San Martin, "courageous and epic."

Kelly was arrested for disturbing the peace. A rep for the Santa Clara County Sheriff said the man will likely be given a fine and a community service sentence.

In "Drive," Gosling plays a Hollywood stuntman who moonlights as a getaway driver.

In its first three weeks of release, the action flick made more than $27 million at the box office.
