Celebrity Dream Homes

Celebrity Dream Homes
Celebrity Dream Homes
Isn't there supposed to be a housing market crisis going on? You wouldn't know it from these lavish, multi-million dollar celebrity dream homes. As long as they don't try to sell right now, these homes should hold their huge price tags.

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon

I guess when you've got twins on the way, you need a little extra space. Will 15 bedrooms do the trick? Mariah & Nick now call this 41,000 square-foot-estate in Beverly Hills home. They've devoted an entire wing to their little one, so we hope there's no bad energy left from the seller. Perks include championship tennis courts, a private jogging track, a 50-seat screening room and staff quarters for 10.
Oprah Winfrey
Oprah Winfrey
One of the most powerful women in the world deserves a little privacy, right? She should get it on an estate this big. Purchased for $50 million in 2001, the Georgian-style home has six bedrooms and 14 bathrooms, its own lake, tennis court, an orchard and a driveway she had hand-laid with sandstone bricks from the area where the home is located.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie

Located in this remote area of France, the home known as Chateau Miraval (also a vineyard!), has been home to the Jolie-Pitt brood for nearly three years now. Rumors have swirled about whether they own or lease the property. Either way, they've got room for everyone, including their nannies — in this 35-bedroom estate that sits on 1,000 acres.
Hugh Hefner

At least his latest wife-to-be likes his infamous abode. The nearly 22,000-square-foot Playboy Mansion has a long history of wild parties, and is well-known for its grotto Jacuzzi. But it's also worth a lot of money. The 30-room Gothic home and grounds include a massive game room and a private zoo and aviary. Also, there appears to be quite a population of bunnies.
Donald Trump
Donald Trump
Though he recently sold the home to a Russian billionaire, this Trump playground has everything you might need. One of the winners of his TV show oversaw the renovations. The 62,000-square-foot home includes a wine cellar, home theater and fully loaded fitness studio. Considering the price tag, somebody's doing OK in this housing market.
Jennifer Lopez
Jennifer Lopez
J. Lo has nothing to cry about when it comes to the home she shares with her actor-musician hubby. With nine bedrooms and 12 bathrooms and a price tag around $10 million, there's a lot more space for their twins since they renovated. The property (where is it?) was once owned by this Hollywood legend. It features a tennis court, a recording studio and panoramic city views.
Will and Jada Smith

Rumor has it that the Smiths are still renovating their 100-acre, high-priced Malibu compound. While juggling their daughter's career, their son's movie roles and their own busy lives — they can stay active on their property, which includes a private lake, basketball, volleyball and tennis courts, batting cages, and equestrian facilities.
Bill Gates
Bill Gates
With a net worth this high, it's no surprise that Bill Gates gives as much as he gets. His home near Seattle has become a tourist attraction, where boats regularly sail by and point out his 66,000-square-foot compound on the shores of this lake. Rumored to be outfitted with technology that changes art on the walls, and an underwater music system in the pool — you can be sure that this high-tech guru's home has all the bells and whistles.
Prince Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdul Aziz
Prince Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdul Aziz
Currently on the market for an unbelievable price, the Prince's Hala Ranch features 15 bedrooms, 16 bathrooms and sits on 95 acres in this pricey town. You may remember the Prince from this 9/11 controversy. His home has 56,000 square feet of living space, stables, staff living quarters, its own wastewater treatment plant and a driveway that melts snow.
Madonna
Madonna
The Material Girl dropped a bundle on this four-story, 26-room mansion in one of Manhattan's most expensive neighborhoods. Apparently, the perks — which include a huge garden, an elevator, a wine cellar with a grotto and a two-car garage — didn't help the age of the townhouse or its lack of soundproofing. She has run into a few problems with her neighbors.
Eddie Murphy
Eddie Murphy
Not much is known about the actor-comedian's $20 million estate in the gated community of Beverly Park in this famous city of stars. We do know that it was built in 2005 and uses Mission-style architecture. He currently shares the gigantic home with — well, no one since the split from his last wife. Seems like an awful lot of space for one.
P. Diddy Combs
P. Diddy Combs
Located in one of Miami's most exclusive neighborhoods, and once the site of a famous pair hiding out from paparazzi, Diddy's two-story home used to be owned by Mariah's ex-husband. With nine bedrooms, 12 bathrooms and a boat dock, there's plenty of space for Diddy or his celebrity friends to hide out or make a fast getaway.
William Randolph Hearst
William Randolph Hearst
Even legendary mansions can't get their asking price these days. Put on the market in 2007 for an eye-popping price tag, the price was lowered (how much?) in 2010. Featured prominently in this Oscar-winning film, and home to this presidential campaign, the palace features 30 bedrooms, a movie theater and three swimming pools. It was the home of newspaper mogul William Randolph Hearst and was built in 1926.
George Clooney
George Clooney
Purchased in 2002, Clooney's Villa Oleandra is nestled on the shore of Lake Como in this tiny Italian town. The nuptials of these famous friends were recently held there, and other than the occasional bomb scare, George leads a peaceful life in Italy part of each year. His latest girlfriend joins him, too.
Aaron Spelling
Aaron Spelling
This late producer's name is hardly mentioned without talking about his home, which has 123 rooms, eight two-car garages, a bowling alley and more. It's far bigger than the vessel from his famous TV show, and was one of the hotly contested items in his will. There's still friction in the family, though his daughter is moving on with a family of her own.
Jerry Seinfeld
Jerry Seinfeld
Apparently, Jerry's house is the best summer pad around. He and his cookbook-author wife and their children call this posh Long Island community home. With 12 waterfront acres, a guest house, 22-car garage and a baseball diamond, it makes sense that people want to hang out there. Seinfeld purchased the home in 2000 from this famous musician.
Jennifer Aniston
Jennifer Aniston
The famously single star just put her Beverly Hills home on the market for a tidy sum. She named the home Ohana (what does that mean?), and in a 2010 issue of this magazine gushed about renovating the 9,100-square-foot home. It features a travertine bridge over a koi pond, huge walk-in closets and a sweeping city view. Privacy-loving celebs will appreciate the built-in security cameras and heat-sensitive alarms.
